Project Overview
A $330,000,000 freshman housing initiative at the University of Oklahoma in Norman set out to replace aging high-rise dormitories with a modern, phased residential campus totaling approximately 600,000 square feet. The program called for 2,200 or more new beds, with the flexibility to scale bed count up or down as enrollment needs changed. The project included small dining venues, lounge areas, staff offices and residences, and multifunctional storm shelters sized for all students and staff. The client engaged PRESWERX to develop and refine a pursuit presentation, and to coach their team for the live selection interview.

Client Challenges
Competing for a $330,000,000 phased student housing program at a major research university required the client to communicate a vision for a campus-scale residential transformation:
Presenting a phased construction approach for 2,200-plus beds that maintained the existing freshman bed count throughout demolition and new construction.
Communicating the flexibility, resilience features, and community character of a large residential program to a university owner with complex operational needs.
Differentiating the team in a competitive higher education procurement where the owner's expectations matched the scale of a generational campus investment.
The client needed a presentation that demonstrated command of both the construction complexity and the university's long-term housing vision.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX developed and refined the pursuit presentation for the University of Oklahoma Freshman Housing Project, building a narrative that addressed the full scope of a phased, 600,000-square-foot residential replacement program. The presentation covered the construction strategy for maintaining bed count through demolition and new construction, the program's flexibility features, dining and community amenities, and the storm shelter requirements specific to the Oklahoma campus. PRESWERX worked with the client's team to sharpen content and flow across each section. Coaching sessions then prepared the client's presenters to deliver with clarity and authority in front of the university's selection panel.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX focused on helping the client articulate a construction strategy that matched the ambition and operational complexity of a campus-wide housing replacement. The team addressed three priorities:
Structuring the presentation to walk the university through a phased program without losing clarity on sequencing, bed count continuity, or community impact.
Refining content to communicate the flexibility and resilience features of the program as intentional design decisions, not just requirements.
Coaching presenters to engage with the university's priorities at the level of a trusted campus partner.
The result was a client team that entered the selection prepared and in command of a complex program narrative.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX delivered a polished pursuit presentation and coaching process calibrated to the expectations of a major university housing procurement:
The presentation organized a phased, 600,000-square-foot replacement program into a clear, confident narrative the university could evaluate from construction strategy through community vision.
Coaching sessions sharpened each presenter's delivery, producing a rehearsed performance aligned to a university owner's expectations and interview format.
The client entered the selection with a unified message that reflected the depth and readiness of their approach to a generational campus project.
The team went into the room prepared to match the scale of the opportunity.
