Project Overview

The client, one of the largest equipment rental companies in North America, sought to strengthen its competitive position ahead of a first quarter 2024 pursuit. The client needed a compelling capabilities package that clearly communicated the depth and scale of its fleet, services, and project support capabilities to a sophisticated procurement audience. With a high-stakes presentation window approaching, the client engaged PRESWERX to shape the narrative, produce the supporting materials, and prepare the presenting team to perform at a high level on the day of the selection.

Client Challenges

The client faced a set of interlocking challenges in preparing for a competitive capabilities review:

  • Translating a broad and technically deep service offering into a clear, audience-focused story that would resonate with procurement evaluators.

  • Designing presentation materials that conveyed professionalism and scale without overwhelming reviewers with operational detail.

  • Preparing a multi-person presenting team to deliver a confident, consistent message under time pressure.

  • Differentiating the client's capabilities in a field where multiple qualified providers were competing for consideration.

Without a unified approach to narrative and delivery, even a strong capabilities story risked failing to land with the selection panel.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX delivered a complete pursuit package for the client's Q1 2024 capabilities pitch. The engagement began with a proposal that organized the client's core capabilities into a clear and persuasive written narrative, giving evaluators a precise understanding of the service offering before the live presentation. From that foundation, PRESWERX developed a polished presentation deck designed to carry the story visually and keep evaluators engaged through each section. The team then led structured presentation coaching sessions with the client's presenters, focusing on timing, message discipline, and handling questions from the panel. Each deliverable was tailored to the specific audience and the competitive context of the pursuit.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX approached the engagement as a strategic messaging challenge, not a production task. The goal was to ensure the client's capabilities came across as cohesive, relevant, and differentiated from competing providers:

  • Developed a core narrative framework that connected the client's service breadth to the specific needs of the procurement audience, ensuring every section of the proposal and deck served a strategic purpose.

  • Produced a presentation deck with a clear visual hierarchy, purpose-built to support the client's live delivery rather than duplicate the written proposal.

  • Ran targeted coaching sessions that prepared each presenter to speak with precision, handle evaluator questions confidently, and stay on message under time pressure.

The result was a client team that entered the selection fully prepared, aligned, and presenting at its best.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a complete, integrated pursuit package that held the client to a high standard at every stage of preparation:

  • The proposal provided a clear written foundation that gave evaluators a precise understanding of the client's capabilities before the live presentation, setting a professional tone from the outset.

  • The presentation deck gave the presenting team a professional, well-structured visual tool that reinforced the message and kept the panel engaged through each section.

  • The coaching sessions produced measurable improvement in delivery confidence, timing, and consistency across the presenting team, closing the gap between a strong story and a strong performance.

The client entered the selection panel fully rehearsed, with a cohesive story and the preparation to tell it well.
