Project Overview

The Mahlon Brown Academy Replacement was a $65.4 million project undertaken for Clark County School District in Henderson, Nevada. The project involved constructing a new 141,000 square foot middle school designed to serve 1,250 students, built on the same site as the existing Brown Academy of International Studies. Construction was phased to keep the existing school fully occupied and operational throughout the build. The scope encompassed new power infrastructure, abatement and demolition of existing buildings, new athletic courts and ball fields, parking lots, sitework, and utility improvements. PRESWERX delivered the full pursuit package to position the client's team for the competitive selection.

Client Challenges

Pursuing a $65 million replacement school on an active, occupied campus required communicating a technically demanding story with clarity and confidence:

  • Conveying a phased construction plan that would keep students and staff safe and undisturbed throughout the build

  • Presenting the scale and quality of a 141,000 SF middle school as a compelling vision before a single wall was raised

  • Differentiating the team in a competitive selection process for a high-profile public school district

The client needed a unified narrative and compelling visuals to bring the full scope to life for decision-makers.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX produced the complete pursuit package for the Mahlon Brown Academy Replacement bid. The team developed a comprehensive written proposal tailored to Clark County School District's evaluation criteria, crafting a narrative that addressed the project's complexity and phasing requirements. PRESWERX developed the full presentation, building a clear visual story around the replacement scope and the client's approach to keeping the existing campus functional throughout construction. Renderings and animations brought the new 141,000 square foot campus to life before construction began, while films communicated team culture and project vision. Presentation coaching prepared the client's personnel to deliver confidently in front of the selection committee.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX approached the pursuit as a storytelling challenge. The technical complexity of a phased replacement school demanded a strategy that was both visually compelling and easy for a non-technical audience to follow:

  • Developed a cohesive proposal narrative that framed the phasing plan as a strength, not a complication, and grounded every claim in the team's project experience

  • Created renderings, animations, and films that gave the school district a clear, credible picture of the finished campus and the people building it

  • Coached the client's presenters to deliver with clarity and confidence under selection committee scrutiny, aligning every spokesperson on message and format

The result was a complete, polished pursuit package that conveyed readiness and capability at every stage of the evaluation.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX produced a full suite of pursuit materials calibrated to a $65 million public school selection, holding each deliverable to the standard of a high-visibility, competitive bid:

  • The proposal provided a clear, structured narrative that addressed phasing complexity directly and built confidence in the client's technical approach

  • Renderings, animations, and films gave decision-makers an accurate and compelling view of the finished 141,000 SF campus, translating drawings into a story the district could see

  • Presentation coaching sharpened every spokesperson's delivery, ensuring the team was prepared, aligned, and confident for the live interview

The client went into selection day with a complete package and a team ready to present at their best.
