Project Overview

UF Health Jacksonville undertook the development of the Leon L. Haley, Jr., MD Emergency Department and Trauma Center, a landmark healthcare facility honoring the hospital's late CEO and Dean of the UF College of Medicine. Located at the 8th Street Campus in Jacksonville, Florida, the project set out to replace aging, overburdened facilities with a purpose-built Level-1 trauma center and emergency department. As the only Level-1 trauma center serving Duval, Nassau, Clay, St. Johns, and surrounding counties, the new facility carried significant regional importance. The client engaged PRESWERX to support the pursuit with a full suite of proposal, presentation, and visual communication services.

Client Challenges

The client faced the challenge of communicating the scope and significance of a high-profile regional healthcare pursuit as one cohesive story:

  • The project honored a beloved civic and medical leader, making the pursuit narrative as critical as the technical content.

  • Visualizing the proposed facility required high-quality renderings and animations to convey design quality before construction began.

  • Differentiating the team in a competitive procurement demanded a polished, interview-ready presentation that stood apart from standard submissions.

Every element of the pursuit package had to reflect the weight of the opportunity.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX delivered a comprehensive pursuit package supporting the client's bid for this landmark healthcare project. The scope included a fully produced proposal document crafted to communicate the scale and significance of the project, as well as the depth of the client's team capabilities. PRESWERX also developed a presentation deck tailored for the selection interview and conducted presentation coaching sessions to sharpen the team's delivery. Architectural renderings and fly-through animations brought the proposed facility to life visually, giving evaluators a clear picture of the design intent and the patient-centered environment the new trauma center would provide.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX approached this engagement as a storytelling and visual communication challenge, building a pursuit package where every element reinforced a unified message:

  • PRESWERX developed a proposal narrative connecting the project's community significance and clinical mission into a cohesive story.

  • The team produced high-fidelity renderings and animations that communicated the design vision and set the submission apart visually.

  • Presentation coaching prepared the client's team to deliver their story with focus and confidence before the selection committee.

Every deliverable reinforced the same message, giving the client a strong, unified voice throughout the selection process.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a complete, submission-ready pursuit package built to the high standards this regionally significant healthcare project demanded:

  • The proposal document presented the full project scope and significance in a clear, visually compelling format.

  • Renderings and animations gave evaluators a detailed view of the proposed facility's design quality and patient-centered environment.

  • Presentation coaching gave the client's team a rehearsed, focused delivery calibrated to the weight of the opportunity.

The client entered the selection process fully prepared, with polished materials and a story that matched the scale of the project.
