Project Overview

When Owen-Ames-Kimball pursued the construction management contract for MM Middle School (East Zone) in Fort Myers, Florida, they turned to PRESWERX to help them win. Commissioned by the School District of Lee County, this $70-75 million project required a pursuit team that could translate complex construction management expertise into a compelling, community-centered narrative. PRESWERX delivered a full pursuit package including presentation development, presentation coaching, and architectural renderings to position OAK as the clear choice for one of Lee County's most significant K-12 education investments.

Client Challenges

Competing for a major K-12 construction management contract in a crowded market presented OAK with a distinct set of challenges. The School District of Lee County expected bidders to demonstrate not only technical capability, but also a genuine understanding of the community and the students who would ultimately occupy the building. Key challenges included:

  • Differentiating OAK from equally qualified competitors in a high-stakes public procurement

  • Translating complex construction management strategies into clear, compelling storytelling for a school district evaluation committee

  • Demonstrating site-specific knowledge and a credible plan for cost control, community engagement, and on-time delivery

Scope of Work

PRESWERX provided comprehensive pursuit support for OAK's bid on the MM Middle School construction management contract. Our scope included developing a polished, persuasive presentation aligned with the School District of Lee County's evaluation criteria, delivering targeted coaching to prepare OAK's leadership team for the interview, and producing high-quality architectural renderings to visually communicate the proposed campus design and phased construction approach. Each deliverable was purpose-built to reinforce OAK's credibility, community commitment, and technical capability throughout every phase of the evaluation process.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX took a strategy-first approach, working directly with OAK's project team to understand the School District of Lee County's priorities and craft a message that would resonate with evaluators. Our team:

  • Built a clear, community-centered narrative that positioned OAK's local knowledge and relationships as a key differentiator

  • Produced architectural renderings that gave evaluators a vivid, compelling vision of the completed school campus

  • Coached OAK's leadership team on presentation delivery, interview question handling, and evaluation committee dynamics

By aligning every element of the pursuit package with the district's goals, PRESWERX helped OAK step into the interview room with clarity, confidence, and a presentation that made a lasting impression.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a competition-ready pursuit package that gave Owen-Ames-Kimball every advantage heading into the School District of Lee County's evaluation. From the architectural renderings that brought the campus to life, to the polished presentation and sharp coaching that prepared OAK's team to perform under pressure, every element was designed to win. The result was a pursuit that reflected OAK's depth of experience, commitment to the community, and readiness to take on one of Lee County's most impactful school construction projects.
