Project Overview
Dresden Elementary School was a $41,060,339 new construction project undertaken for the DeKalb County School District in Sterling Heights, MI. The facility was designed to serve the district's growing student population, encompassing modern classrooms, flexible learning commons, a gymnasium, a cafeteria, and a media center built to support contemporary elementary education. The project required a pursuit package that could translate a complex construction program into a clear, compelling story for a public agency selection panel. PRESWERX partnered with the client to produce the full suite of materials, from proposal documents and renderings through animations, films, and live presentation coaching.

Client Challenges
The client faced a competitive public procurement process for a high-visibility school construction project, requiring pursuit materials that could clearly differentiate the team and communicate the project's full vision:
Presenting a $41M elementary school program as a cohesive, easy-to-evaluate story for a non-technical public agency panel
Visualizing design quality and spatial programming before construction began, giving evaluators a confident picture of the finished facility
Differentiating the client's team through a compelling proposal and supporting visuals in a field of qualified competitors
Preparing the team to perform under pressure in a live interview format, where delivery and confidence carry as much weight as qualifications on paper
Each challenge pointed to the same need: a pursuit strategy where every material, visual, and live presentation moment told a unified story.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX delivered a comprehensive pursuit package built specifically for the DeKalb County School District selection process. The team produced a full proposal document structured around the district's evaluation criteria, ensuring evaluators could quickly locate and assess the client's qualifications. Custom renderings brought the elementary school's design intent to life for a non-technical audience, while animations and films communicated the facility's program, flow, and construction approach in dynamic visual form. PRESWERX also built a presentation deck to anchor the client's live interview and provided hands-on coaching to sharpen team delivery and confidence ahead of the selection.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX treated the Dresden Elementary School pursuit as an integrated storytelling challenge, building every deliverable around a single, consistent narrative that placed the client's qualifications and the school's community value at the center:
Structured the proposal around the district's stated evaluation priorities, so the team's fit was immediately visible to every reviewer
Produced renderings, animations, and films that translated complex construction scope into accessible visuals, giving evaluators a clear picture of the finished school
Coached the presentation team through live rehearsals, helping each speaker own their material and respond with clarity and confidence to panel questions
The result was a pursuit package where proposal content, visuals, and live presentation all reinforced the same story.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX produced a complete, publication-ready pursuit package that held up to the scrutiny of a competitive public agency selection process. Each deliverable played a distinct role in building the client's case:
The proposal gave evaluators a structured, easy-to-score document that put the team's qualifications front and center from the first page
Renderings, animations, and films made the $41M facility tangible before a single shovel hit the ground, helping district decision-makers envision the finished school with confidence
Presentation coaching gave the team the preparation and presence to walk into the interview room ready to perform at their best
The client entered the selection process with a polished, consistent story across every touchpoint and the readiness to deliver it when it counted.
