Project Overview
The Broward County North Regional Courthouse in Deerfield Beach, Florida required a comprehensive water damage protection strategy to safeguard a critical public facility. The project centered on two integrated systems: engineered retention ponds designed to capture and manage stormwater runoff, and modular flood barrier walls capable of forming a protective perimeter around the building in storm conditions. The client engaged PRESWERX to develop pursuit materials that communicated the technical scope and visual scale of these systems to a non-technical reviewing audience. PRESWERX delivered a proposal package, high-fidelity renderings, and animations to support the client's presentation to Broward County.

Client Challenges
The client faced a demanding communication challenge on a technically complex infrastructure project. Conveying the logic and scale of a multi-system water protection solution to a non-technical reviewing body required more than engineering documentation:
Visualizing flood barrier wall configurations and retention pond engineering in a way that county stakeholders could evaluate quickly, without relying on civil drawings
Conveying the structural scale and deployment logic of the modular barrier system within the constraints of a competitive proposal format
Translating civil and water management engineering into visuals that worked at two levels: technically accurate for engineering reviewers, and accessible for decision-makers focused on outcomes
Bridging that gap between engineering detail and decision-maker comprehension was the central challenge PRESWERX was brought in to solve.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX produced a full suite of pursuit materials tailored to the Broward County North Regional Courthouse water protection project. PRESWERX developed three-dimensional renderings depicting the modular flood barrier wall system in deployed configuration around the courthouse perimeter, capturing connection point geometry, panel orientation, and spatial scale. Animations illustrated how the retention pond and barrier wall systems would function together under storm event conditions. Each deliverable was calibrated to serve a mixed audience of technical reviewers and county decision-makers.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX treated this as a visualization and communication challenge from the start. The team focused on converting civil engineering data into assets that functioned at multiple levels of technical detail, without losing accuracy at either end:
Built renderings from engineering schematics that accurately depicted flood barrier wall geometry, connection hardware, and deployment orientation relative to the courthouse footprint
Produced animations that communicated stormwater flow paths and barrier function without requiring viewers to interpret technical drawings
The result was a submission package that presented the full complexity of the water protection strategy in a format accessible to the full review panel.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX delivered a complete set of visual and written pursuit materials built to the standard of a high-stakes public-sector selection process. Every deliverable was held to a level of accuracy and presentation quality consistent with the significance of the project:
Renderings gave reviewers an immediate spatial understanding of the flood barrier system's scope, configuration, and integration with the courthouse site
Animations made the functional logic of the dual-system water protection strategy clear and self-explanatory, reducing the burden on the client's team to explain technical concepts during the presentation
The client entered the selection process with a package that accurately reflected the rigor and preparation behind their approach to protecting a key county facility.
